It depends on where in the US you live. It's illegal in CA but completely legal in Texas.
You could probably call your local vet of animal shelter and check if it's legal where you live.

I THINK A RAT OR SQUIRL CHEWED ON MY PLASTIC SHOWER DRAIN PIPES. WHAT CAN I DO?
I TOOK A SHOWER LAST NIGHT AND AFTER HEARD A NOISE UNDER THE TUB. I LOOKED IN THE ACCESS PANEL FOR THE SHOWER PIPES BEHIND THE WALL AND THE PLASTIC PIPE THAT TAKES THE DIRTY WATER AWAY WAS SCRATCED UP AND IF I RUN WATER IT WILL LEAK INTO MY CRAWLSPACE. PLEASE HELP!I THINK A RAT OR SQUIRL CHEWED ON MY PLASTIC SHOWER DRAIN PIPES. WHAT CAN I DO?
Well, I guess there's a first time for everything. I've never heard of animals of any sort chewing on plastic pipes. Usually they chew either to get through something to get out or in, or because the item has food odor or traces of food on it. They generally don't chew on stuff just because it's there and available. However, if there's a hole in the pipe, you can purchase one of those rubber connectors, called Fernco connectors. They have a stainless steel hose clamp on each end and are made of a substantial rubber material. Slice it length ways from top to bottom and slide it around the pipe at the spot of the hole, then open the clamps by unscrewing the end and slide it back into it's spot on the rubber. Clamp it down and it should stop the leak.I THINK A RAT OR SQUIRL CHEWED ON MY PLASTIC SHOWER DRAIN PIPES. WHAT CAN I DO?
If you want to do it yourself, your best bet to catch the rat or squirrell is to use a sticky trap, (Though if you want it to be humane, you might want to look into live traps). You can also use bait blocks. There are many different kinds that work. After that, if you're any good at replacing pipes you could, but you might want to call in a professional. If you can't catch the animal, you might just want to call a professional. Don't worry, problems like these are easily fixed. I've had to take care of it myself once.
are you sure it wasn't just frozen and burst from that?
Call an exterminator first then a plumber

WHAT DO I FEED IT? DO I EVN FEED IT? and HOW? thankzH.E.L.P.!.HURRY. okay.. so we found this baby squirl.. and he's so tiny %26amp; what do i feed it?
you can feed a very little baby squirrel regular milk diluted about 50 50 milk and water.
It is however better to call your local animal rescue society so some one can pick it up and prepare it to be returned to the wild.H.E.L.P.!.HURRY. okay.. so we found this baby squirl.. and he's so tiny %26amp; what do i feed it?
You need to call your local animal control, usually it is illegal to keep these animals in your home because the are wild. Not to mention they can caryy fleas, lice, and other parasites. The animal control should come and get him and get him the appropriate care he needs and then release him back into the winld when he's feeling better. DO NOT attempt to feed the animal yourself, it's best for his and your health, get a professional to do it for you!!!
You can give him water with an eye dropper. If he becomes dehydrated, he will die. If he is able to eat solid food, like a piece of carrot then he's old enough to take care of himself and can be let go.
The vet will tell you to either put him back or take him to a wildlife rescue. I think you know that squirrels cannot be pets.
The best thing to do is to let him back outside and wait for its mom to come back for it. This happened once at my mom's house. The mother squirrel eventually came back for it. Keep an eye on the baby to make sure nothing bothers it. If no one comes back for it then call the vet and ask what they think you should do.
stuff from your garbage-lol jus kidding, try feeding it
sunflower seeds, peanuts, nuts, seeds,acorns,
crackers with peanut butter, fruit, bread,
non solid foods, just for the baby squirrels -milk and honey

[hurry]H.E.L.P.!.!. okay i found a baby squirl.outside.. my cat was over it. idk if its hurt i haven't touched it yet?
You should contact your local Division of Wildlife and keep the baby squirrel safe until they can come pick it up. They will take it to a rescue center for wild animals, rehabilitate it and release it back into the wild when it is ready.
Good luck!H.E.L.P.!.!. okay i found a baby squirl.outside.. my cat was over it. idk if its hurt i haven't touched it yet?
Okay, take a pair of gloves and and pick the squirrel up GENTLY. If he moves or twitches, that's GREAT! Now put him in a shoe box or something similar. Put some veggies in there and watch if he moves to get the food. If he doesn't, pick him up and look for some injuries. I would just take him to a vet or someone who knows what they're doing.
You're going to have to be brave, put a pair of gloves on, and take it inside. I'd keep him in a shoe box and put some vegetables in there for it. With gloves still on, check for scratches, bitemarks , or broken bones. if there's any of those, the squirrel needs to be watched carefully. You might want to take him to the vet. If he doesn't seem to be hurt too bad, I'd take him somewhere away from your house where there's trees and wildlife and let him free there.
Call your local animal controll, they will help it for sure!!! The wqild life association's number you can find in a local phone book. Save the baby squirl!! They will make sure that the squirell is safe and is cared fopr properly. Good eye, and if you call, you can feel good about yourself for you just saved a baby squirrel!!!:-D

Mice,rats,squirl problems?
having problems with mice, rats, squirls etc.eating the wiring on my veh.Mice, rats, squirl problems?
Chances are it is rats that are doings this, Mice and squirrels don't do this often. It is impossible to cover the car with a blanket because they enter from the bottom of the vehicle. The easiest way to remove this problem is garage the vehicle in an area free of rodents. No matter where you are outside there will always be rodents. On average you are always within 10 feet of a rodent when you are outside. It is possible you can reduce the likely hood of damage to your vehicle buy placing rodenticide around or in the vehicle if it is not in use. You must, Secure the rodenticide in some kind of bait station to prevent accidental poisoning of other species. Another option is constantly move the vehicle, they are less likely to nest in something that is moving often.
P.S. Don't feel bad about killing rats, they are classified as pests and do not belong in Europe, Africa, Australia, or the Americas. It was people that brought them to these locations in the first place. Mice, rats, squirl problems?
